The Basic flute in the key of G is the most popular flute. It is a wonderfully versatile key that is suitable for flute players of all levels. This versatile key pairs well with the guitar and is a must for any flute lover. It has a mellow, soothing voice.
The Basic G is a medium flute. 22 3/4 inches long with a 7/8 inch bore. The first three finger holes are about 1 inch apart center to center, and the last three finger holes are about 1 1/4 inches apart. The distance from the mouth end of the flute to the first finger hole is about 10 1/2 inches.
