Fettich

Original Native American flute, authentic handmade Native American flutes.

The flute maker grew up on the Navajo reservation in Kayenta, Arizona. He was born in the Coyote Pass clan and belongs to the Red House People clan of the Navajo people. His philosophy of flute making is that the flute was given to the first humans as a gift. Flute music is to be shared in prayer, friendship and recreation. His ponderosa pine flutes have a warm, raspy tone and wonderful, hand-carved animal fetishes . He tunes each flute by hand and they all come with beads and feathers and are finished with teak oil.

All these flutes are in the minor scale and tuned to 432 Hz.

By covering the third hole, the flute is tuned pentatonically.
