The ALLTON monochord has an amazingly good sound with a handy small size. The bottom is flat and nicely rounded at the edges. The monochord can be placed on legs, belly or back or held in the arm like a teddy bear. The gripping recesses on the sides ensure good handling. This new model A is a bit slimmer and longer, which makes the sound even fuller. The harmonious sounding quint-quart and octave intervals have a very pleasant, invigorating and relaxing effect at the same time for most people and are less "delimiting" than a pure monochord sound. In addition, the instrument allows a variety of playing possibilities. It can be played like a monochord (regular stroking over the strings with the fingertips) or individual notes can be plucked rhythmically.

Placed on the body, you can feel the harmony or individual tones as a gentle vibration. The underside is flat and nicely rounded at the edges - it can also be placed crosswise on the belly, lap or back or held in the arms like a teddy bear. The gripping bars on the sides make for good handling. The strings are threaded into the drilled holes at the bottom of the instrument and can be easily changed if needed.

Despite the short string length, the wound guitar strings allow for a rich, deep sound that promotes sensory perception when played on the body. When playing, the whole instrument comes into vibration and transfers this to the body, activating the body cells (vibroacoustics / basal stimulation). This sound massage promotes positive body perception and helps to better achieve inner peace. The ALLTON Monochord can be used while sitting or lying down. It is used in care, therapy, both for children and adults.
