In Japan, it is said that the delicate tinkling of bells promises good luck and carries wishes to heaven. The bell of this wind chime is made by casting and then carefully finished by hand. This gives each piece its own clear and balanced sound. Together with the cream-colored paper, which moves gently in the wind, a calm, almost meditative atmosphere is created - a quiet moment of deceleration in everyday life.
The Nousaku foundry was founded in Takaoka in 1916 and is now run by the fourth generation. For over a century, objects have been created there from brass and bronze using traditional sand casting techniques. The design focuses on the craftsmanship heritage and the natural properties of the materials. Each product is finished by hand and brings out the individual beauty of the metal.
