Marimbula

The marimbula is the original bass of the Caribbean. The eight metal reeds are mounted in a holder system so that they can be tuned individually in the range of D-g. A pentatonic scale is tuned at the factory (F major). Playing style: It can be played both with the fingers and with mallets. When struck with mallets, the reeds sound in fresh overtones.
