Playing style

One ball is held in the hand while the other hangs from the string.
Skilful hand and wrist movements swing the loose ball so that it strikes against the fixed ball.
This produces different sounds:

1. Shaking - like a rattle

2. Impact sound - when the balls hit each other

3. Combinations of both hands - for rhythmic patterns and polyrhythms

Experienced players can create very fast, complex rhythms.
