Tuning & Scale
Tuned in the in-zen pentatonic, a scale originating from the Japanese musical tradition, related to the Phrygian mode.
In contrast, the third is replaced by a minor second and the sixth degree is omitted. The result is a calm, meditative sound character.

Sound & effect
The In Zen scale creates an atmosphere of calm, mindfulness and inner silence.
The reduced five notes allow intuitive playing and free improvisation. This makes the flute suitable for beginners as well as experienced musicians.
