The madal is a traditional Nepalese double-headed drum that is mainly used in Nepalese folk music. It has a cylindrical wooden body with two drumheads at the ends, which are played by hand. The madal produces rhythmic, warm sounds and is a central instrument in Nepalese songs and dances.
