The ALLTON monochord has an amazingly good sound despite its small size. The underside is flat and nicely rounded at the edges. The monochord can be placed on the legs, stomach or back or held in the arms like a teddy bear. The recessed grips on the sides ensure easy handling. This new Model A is slightly slimmer and longer, which makes the sound even fuller. The harmonious sound of the fifth, fourth and octave intervals is very pleasant for most people, invigorating and relaxing at the same time and less "limiting" than a pure monochord sound. The instrument also allows a wide range of playing options. It can be played like a monochord (regular stroking of the strings with the fingertips) or individual notes can be plucked rhythmically.

When placed on the body, you can feel the harmony or individual notes as a gentle vibration. The underside is flat and nicely rounded at the edges - it can also be placed crosswise on the stomach, lap or back or held in the arms like a teddy bear. The side gripping strips ensure easy handling. The strings are threaded into the drilled holes on the underside of the instrument and can be easily changed if necessary.

Despite the short string length, the wrapped guitar strings produce a rich, deep sound that promotes sensory perception when played on the body. When played, the entire instrument vibrates and transmits this to the body, activating the body cells (vibroacoustics / basal stimulation). This sound massage promotes positive body awareness and helps you to find inner peace. The ALLTON monochord can be used both sitting and lying down. It is used in care and therapy for both children and adults.
