Conchord is a respected and innovative guitar maker from Kolkata. Founded by Bhabasindhu Biswas, the company has developed instruments specifically tailored to the requirements of Indian raga music. An outstanding example is the Concord Mohan Veena, which was created in close collaboration for Grammy award winner Vishwa Mohan Bhatt. Virtuoso Debashish Bhattacharya also contributed his ideas and inspired the development of three unique slide guitars: Chaturangui, Gandharvi and Anandi. After the death of the company founder in 2020, his daughter Ria Biswas continues to run the workshop with great dedication and maintains the high quality for which Choncord is internationally renowned.
