Handmade & Material
Handmade in the mountains of southern Arizona from Spanish cedar (softwood). This wood provides a melodic, resonant and warm sound. Decorated with black onyx cabochons.

Playing style & sound
One side plays the melody, the other the drone (fundamental tone) - giving the impression of two people playing at the same time.
Can be played like a single flute, but requires more breath or air pressure. Larger flutes generally require more air.
The Two Hawks is the smallest mean-tone double flute and is therefore particularly accessible without a high octave range.

Option A-Frame
Partially available with optional finger holes on the drone side, allowing the drone tone to be altered.
