This Double Nova Flute is handcrafted from a single piece of locally sourced alder wood. Alder is a hardwood that produces a clear, brilliant sound with a balanced response. The permanently attached block (flute head) is made of walnut.

Our double flutes have two mouthpieces. This allows you to play them either as a double flute or as a single flute at any time. The flute is tuned to A minor and can also be played in the corresponding parallel major key, C major .
This flute is ideal for accompanying all of our other traditional flutes (440 Hz), which are also tuned to A minor .
