Broadband sound of triads
The
Hamono is a monochord in triad tuning. It could also be described as a multi- or polychord - but
Hamono is simply the best description of its character.
It is played like a classical monochord, but its strings, tuned to triads, develop a
full, expansive, broad sound that has a profound effect and carries the room effortlessly.
Two chords are tuned on one playing level, which can be alternated. This creates a dense sound structure with a clear emotional coloration. The dialog-like interplay of the chords opens up completely new areas of expression and resonance - especially when played together with the voice or other melody instruments.
