Beschreibung

In Japan, wind bells are an integral part of summer: their soft, clear sound is perceived as soothing and refreshing on hot days.

The bell is manufactured using a casting process and then carefully finished by hand. This creates a particularly pure, long-lasting sound with individual characteristics. The interplay between the gentle tone of the brass bell and the paper floating in the wind has a calm and meditative effect.

The Nousaku foundry was founded in Takaoka in 1916 and is still family-run today. Objects made of brass and bronze have been produced there for four generations using traditional sand casting techniques. The design focuses on the natural properties of the material and precision craftsmanship - each piece is finished by hand and is unique.
