This Kamélé N’Goni comes from Mali and, thanks to its relatively thin-walled calabash, produces a particularly rich and resonant sound.
The bridge and neck are crafted from traditional balafon wood. Over the years, the 12-string design has become the standard configuration for the Kamélé N’Goni. With its 12 strings, it offers a surprisingly wide range of just over two octaves and is suitable for both traditional West African music and free, intuitive playing.
