The Koshi Mountain is part of the Earth Symphony, inspired by nature’s vast landscapes: mountains, forests, rivers, and oceans. At 440 Hz , its expansive, tranquil soundscape evokes the height, stillness, and stability of the mountains.
"Mountain" is in E major and consists of twelve hand-tuned steel strings. Four of them serve as sympathetic resonators and produce a particularly deep and sustained resonance. The tones unfold harmoniously, flow into one another, and fade away slowly.
The four melodies of the Earth Symphony collection – Mountain, Forest, River, and Ocean – can be played individually or together and blend harmoniously with one another.
The koshi is held by the string and made to ring by gently turning or swinging it. It can also simply be hung up and left to be played by the wind.
Ideal for meditation, sound therapy, sound yoga or as a harmonious complement to singing bowls, gongs, and other instruments.
Every Koshi Mountain is handcrafted and tuned. Twelve steel strings are soldered with silver to a metal base and individually tuned to their optimal pitch. The soundbox is made of walnut wood ensures a warm, clear, and long-lasting sound.
