Large Shruti Box in C – 2 octaves | tuned to 440 or 432 Hz

Large Shruti Box in C – 2 octaves (C2 to C4) | tuned to 440 Hz

This high-quality shruti box is carefully handcrafted in a small workshop in India. It combines traditional craftsmanship with exceptional sound quality and impresses with its long, steady sustain and versatile applications.

With a range of two octaves, a total of 26 chromatic semitones are available, from C2 to C4. Each note can be activated individually and freely combined with other notes, allowing for the creation of diverse soundscapes and harmonic accompaniments.

The generous bellows volume produces a powerful, balanced sound with exceptionally long sustain. Even if the bellows movement is briefly interrupted or irregular, the tone remains stable and continues to resonate for a long time. Even with multiple valves open at the same time, a clear and even sound can be produced effortlessly through gentle pumping.

Thanks to its finely tuned dynamics, the Shruti Box allows for both powerful and very nuanced playing. This makes it ideal for overtone singing, mantra chanting, sound journeys, meditation, and experimental sound work.
