Paloma Shrutibox in C - Recon

The Shrutibox Paloma small Recon C3 is our smallest and lightest model and therefore particularly convenient for traveling. The Recon construction, the silk-matt finish and the very fine workmanship give the instrument a particularly elegant character.

Its sound is also convincing with a balanced, warm, full tone. Due to the relatively small bellows volume, however, it takes a little practice to keep the sound constant, especially when several notes are to be played at the same time. Even very quiet playing and very finely differentiated volume variations require some skill in bellows control. However, it is very easy to play rhythmically accentuated with powerful bellows strokes. A spring ensures rapid resetting of the air-guiding bellows, making it easier to keep the sound constant than with the Shrutibox small by Monoj Kumar Sardar.

Recon is made from real wood that is cut into thin veneers, dyed, glued and then cut again. This creates panels with uniform stability, resonance, color and grain. It has a wood-like surface that resembles teak or other precious woods, for example. Recon is considered to be more environmentally friendly than precious woods because it is made from rapidly renewable wood species. As a result, it replaces rare or endangered woods and reduces the pressure of exploitation on tropical forests.
