S̈es̈ulka is a Czech manufacturer of jew's harps. Its production is based on traditional techniques of Siberian and Austrian masters. The entire manufacturing process is done by hand, without the use of machines - therefore each jew's harp they produce is unique.
The "Perun" model is based on a medieval jew's harp from the 14th century. Thanks to its long tongue and fine frame, it produces a very clear and distinctive sound. It is an extremely versatile instrument and is suitable for a variety of playing techniques. The name "Perun" refers to the Slavic god of storms, thunder and lightning, who was worshipped by the ancestors in Eastern Europe at the time when similar Jew's harps were made.
