This high-quality, handcrafted Shruti box in the key of C is made in a small workshop in Calcutta. It impresses with its meticulous craftsmanship, an exceptionally rich tone, and excellent sustain.

The range spans 26 chromatic semitones, from C2 to B3. All notes can be played individually and flexibly combined with one another, creating a wide variety of sound possibilities.

Thanks to its generous bellows volume, the Shruti Box produces a full, resonant, and even tone. Even with irregular or briefly interrupted bellows movement, the sound remains remarkably stable and continues to resonate for an extended period, especially in the Large Model. The excellent sustain allows for relaxed and expressive playing—even when multiple valves are open simultaneously.
